The Effects of Motivative Complex Gymnastic Program on Physical Fitness, Physiological, Psychological Function in Elderly Attending Senior Center

Abstract
Purpose£ºthis study was to examine the effects of motivative complex gymnastic program on physical fitness, physiological, psychological function in elderly attending senior center.

Methods: Total of subjects were recruited from two separated institutions for older women in Busan city and conveniently allocated into experimental and control groups. Twenty thiry women were included into experimental group and 22 were into control group. The motivative complex gymnastic program provided during 12 weeks. The research was conducted from June 16th to September 5th of 2008. nonequivalent control group design with pretest and post-test. Total of subjects were recruited from two separated institutions for older women in Busan city and conveniently allocated into experimental and control groups.

Results: The physical fitness function (The lower body muscular power, still balance, dynamic balance, step length, step
width)of experimental group would be increased than control group was supported. The physiological function of experimental group would be decreased than control group was partially supported(systolic pressure, diastolic pressure). The psychological function of experimental group would be increased than control group was supported (depression,life?satisfaction).

Conclusion: this motivative complex gymnastic program could be utilized for the various population including male elderly and further research of motivative program is needed to increase the stability of the findings.
